#2 - la belle sans merci; process/critique/log — ni~yaxsakito

alright, another. this time a sequential. now, sequentials are a pain in the ass. for the record, sequential is just a technical (read: art student/professor/school) way of saying comic pages. there you go. anyway, this time, unlike my last half-assed 'sequential' this is a more technical example with panelling, change in scene, action and story telling. only difference is there won't be any speech bubbles (i will have a nice sound effect though; whether or not it will be in english or moonspeak, i haven't decided; i like the aesthetic appeal of japanese onomatopoeia, but american tends to look more dynamic [again, given the fact this is a slap and not a punch, i'm thinking simpler would work. it'd have more of an impact.]) anyway.

yes, it will be read from right to left. it's mostly due to sakito being right-handed (if i'm not entirely mistaken, i could totally be wrong) and it'd work with the flow of his slap (slapping with the right hand and moving onto the left as the action goes.) i hate how i break my art down to a science, it's so preachy. alright, so just. going a bit further. again, having second thoughts on his pose (back-handing seems a tad bitchier, but i'm not sure how his balance would work. ;B;) [19.11.2009]

okay, so the hand could be done better. looking at baba in the top left panel, i think he should be further back or saki needs to be closer to the front to emphasize sudden distance/a shove. god, can i stop getting a boner for saki in a vest, unf. really, no better comments here other than goddamn that slapping hand is really distracting me. i'm seriously thinking about him backhanding baba because it seems just so damn bitchy. and saki's pretty bitchy.
